Julia Manis

Headshot, partial side angle. Julia’s expression is longing and pensive as she looks over her shoulder. Romantic and soft. Wavy hair drapes over shoulders of floral dress.

Fiercely authentic.

Highly trained.

Often compared to Phoebe Waller Bridge and Allison Janney, Julia is known for her emotional depth and incredibly dark wit.

Most recent film credits include an unlucky in love small town girl (“She Had it Coming”), a high-powered therapist with marital problems (“Inconvenient”), and a woman on her deathbed seeking justice (“True Colors”).

She writes and produces content to share her unique voice with the world. Julia wrote, produced, and starred in “Mel and Ruby” — a short film about reproductive justice. The film was an official selection Sherman Oaks Film Festival and several other festivals.

Julia trained at the prestigious Orange County School of the Arts and obtained her BFA in Acting from USC. She currently studies at Nancy Banks Studios and is a member of The Road Theatre Company. Past training: John Rosenfeld Studios, UCB, and BGB Studio.

When she's not acting...she enjoys boxing, baking, reading, teaching pilates, singing, dancing, writing, nerding out on history, and spending time with family and friends.
